They have been following a plan since then by following all steps in a legal procession (filing state and SCOTUS lawsuits). And since state legislatures and SCOTUS have chickened out and the states are flat out breaking the law, then I believe step 2 is to take it to Congress on 1/6. Pence is step 3.
