To be honest, if WE allow it then we've failed ourselves. Not to let Trump off the hook - he has so much power and so far it seems he's failed to use any of it (declassification, investigations into corruption, military, pardon power, emergency broadcast, massive base of loyal supporters, etc.). The clock is winding down but it's not done ticking yet.
But this is up to us as well.
