I tuned into the Times Square bullshit for one second and saw a deserted ghost town full of flickering screens and perfectly creepy ambient music coming from who-knows-where, that seemed to capture everything about the "celebration."

Then tuned into it again for one second later on and saw deBasio huddled over his wife, in what seemed to be an awkward but predatory insect's interpretation of a slowdance, mask to mask, and decided that that more accurately summed it up.

They've stripped even Times Square of any heart, roped it off to all but the self-appointed rulers, and are stomping it to death in front of the cameras.
