That might set off a bunch of copycats because the person that does it is going to be hailed as a hero by millions of people world wide. An optimistic view, but there are going to be countless people on both sides who say "They were horrible, but they didn't deserve to die!" despite them clearly hating the guts of the scumbags who were killed.
