We got audited even though below poverty line and dragged through 3 yrs of meetings and providing docs. Came out clean but they were targeting my ex husband, tax evasion fugitive in Canada for over 4 yrs now.
I have seen that the agents have been keeping busy on low income small businesses because they don't lawyer up and they try to comply.
It's not 'free', it's time and stress and shitting on people trying to do something instead of being on public assistance.
I was blind and had medical issues and couldn't hold a normal job for a number of years and this would be driving people to suicide and destruction most times. I am blessed with a great husband and have strong faith and we are preparing to make lots of money in the rebound.
Getting audited and screwed over doesn't show up on credit reports or attract investors.
On the large picture, I'm thankful and loving all that GEOTUS and family and team are doing. In the small scale where people like me are invisible, I hope we can get some community tools to help each other.
