So through my childhood leading into my adult life, all you heard from public school teachers and liberal relatives was how bad it was to be in the united states, and how the scandinavian countries have it so much better, and its utopia never mind the fact the only reason they're able to do that is because of a higher tax rate, outsourcing their military, bringing in a shit ton of money from oil, as well as having a higher rating on the economic freedom index, and above all else, having a homogenous nation (Not so much anymore) as well as a lower population.

But thats besides the point, I've had the good fortune to speak to immigrants who joined the army to become citizens, guys from Venezuela, Guatamala, Germany, the UK.

And they all say how much they love it versus the countries they came from. Simply because while our own citizens bitch about how 'terrible it is to live in the oppressive US' they're really ignorant of how it is in the rest of the world.

Many of those countries they hold up as paragons of virtue usually have their downsides. For example, I read somewhere that the scandinavian countries don't have a minimum wage and some employers actually pay you based on how much work you put in, so you can't be a lazy piece of shit and get by getting paid the same as the guy who works his ass off.

So most of the 'Fight for 15' people would hate it in those countries.

Its safe to say 'Don't bitch about the United States until you've been outside of the united states.'

I've had a really good life in the United States, and I'm really glad from an early age I had a family that loved this country. Dads a former Air force captain and former police officer, so I had a good role model there.

So many people have been raised brainwashed to hate their own country, that they don't even realize that they're part of the problem.
