Seconding this. I have no idea what's good and what's fake reviewed, so I'd love to know if someone real has a recommendation.
Older GoPro models that are brand new in box go for like 100 a pop maybe even less and they're still really great cameras. A used Hero 3+ can be bought for $50 on eBay and it's more than capable. The body strap that goes along with it goes for around $5 to $10 on eBay as well.
Edit: The big reason you want a GoPro over of those cheap 30 dollar amazon clip cams is because of the GoPros wide field of view. You'll regret going cheap when you realize your camera has worse peripheral vision than your 80 year old grandma.

Just search for "clip on camera" or "clip camera" on amazon. There are expensive security guard ones but they look all big and cop-like. I bought a small clip on cam that is much easier to hide for about $30. Just make sure it records audio as well as video
Bought their same model the day after the Burrito Bros. vid premiered. It's like the size/shape of a beeper, and if clipped to your belt, it has to stick out a bit to get the correct slightly upwards angle so not exactly spy-caliber, but the battery lasts all day and it records in length-configurable clips and overwrites the oldest when the card gets full like a dashcam. [spez] Forgot to mention it has excellent IR performance in low and no light situations.
