My sheriff hasn’t enforced anything since day 1. I’ve yet to wear a mask at all. Back in March my sheriff made an announcement that they will never enforce mask mandates or curfews.
But be aware of what county you're in. Liberal constituents will vote in liberal sheriffs who have the same ideology as the people who voted them in. Example: The Philly and I believe the Maricopa county sheriff who blocked access to the vote count centers.

The only thing that would happen is the good cops lose their job, and bad ones replace them then resume the tyranny.
