Normally true but you picked a lousy category with regard to optics. Aimpoint, Trijicon, Elcan. Those ARE high-end, and they're military spec. There's no Super Premium Civilian optics that the military skipped out on because they're too pricey, that can stand up to duty use.
I could prolly do it with irons up to 30-40m, but why do it the hard way when John Q. Taxpayer will foot the bill for his own eye gouging the holographic way.
