Not how it works. She only would move up if both POTUS and VP were taken out of the picture. Otherwise, POTUS replaces VP

POTUS can only replace Vice President with confirmation of House and Senate.

Yeah, but Pelosi doesn’t move up

This is the succession of the president of the Senate.

No, Trump can appoint a new VP.

He can, but it requires confirmation by the House and Senate.

no -- the President would have to be incapacitated

Pelosi wouldn’t become VP. The position would remain vacant.

What becomes interesting is what happens when President Trump secures victory on the 6th. The GOP electors voted for Pence, who in resigning is basically saying he doesn’t want to be VP any more.

He is allowed to name a replacement , that is the sucession if the predident and vice president are both killed.. proof spiro agnew resigned , nixon appointed gerald ford, who became president when nixon resigned

With confirmation of the Senate and House, which neither would do right now.

President of the Senate is an ex oficio position. It comes with the job of being Vice President. The 25th Amendment has language on how to fill a vacancy in the Vice President’s office.
