...it’s a high contrast black and white likely taken at high ISO and cropped from a wider shot. Just the geometry of the desk top says it’s a wide angle of at least a 24MM if not even wider. There’s tons of off-center distortion if you aren’t cropping in the middle 25-40% of the frame (depending on the optics and sensor/film size.). Nothing looks odd to me.
