Are you wearing a mask to protect me or are you wearing it to protect yourself? If it’s for you then thank them and inform them you can protect yourself . If it’s for them then ask why they are concerned if they are already protected. Unless masks don’t work........

That doesn't follow. Again, reinforce that "If you are worried about protecting someone else, that's noble and all, but we can take care of ourselves."
