That was Uncle Ragnaros.

Arthas correctly believed that the entire city was infected, and did what he could to contain it by killing his own people. Rather then letting not only their bodies but souls become corrupted by the undead Scourge.

Yep. Too bad so much western literature is absolute garbage now, and it's gotten to the point that I almost only read old stuff or Japanese novels, which don't beat you over the head with agendas.
