Have socks in water tight bags. If things go south your feet will probably fail you much sooner than you expect. Water plus constant friction & little fresh air will cripple you fast.
Grunts live and die on their feet.
If you fail that then know the pain slows with time and recharges when you get off your feet so don’t rest until you have to (took me around 45 to go numb but may vary). Triple antibiotic and dry socks can fix this before it gets to bad.
Can confirm from my pre-motherhood days when I did a lot of serious camping and hiking. Two pairs of dry socks (one thin liner pair and one wool pair) and a tube of polysporin in a baggie.
