She didn't "take charity from others", she had dementia (which can happen to anyone before you get shitty about that too), she was in debt from that and paying her dead husband's medical bills, and even the fiduciary that was court appointed to her, had to FORCE HER LEGALLY to the take "welfare" and the only reason they convinced Rand to do it, was by pointing out how much she had paid in taxes into the system in the first place. You can hate her philosophies, but at least be accurate about it.
