My opinion on the matter is that for a healthy, successful society you need a healthy support for the family unit.
However! There is certainly room for people who do not, for whatever reason, fit into that structure. But even those people benefit,either by being raised in a two parent home or by society being stable.

Hierarchy can benefit from buttresses which diverge from the center. But choke the spring, implode the well, and eventually all will die. The still water will fester, and the culture will degenerate and then quickly smother itself. That is until a wiser culture moves in to revitalize the desert.

These types of women are lauded as brave victims of circumstance while being propped up by the system and given preferential treatment in court and in welfare/housing benefits.

I used to work with this skank who had 4 kids by 2 or 3 different guys, none of the dad's around, who would openly admit that she got so much child support and public assistance that she didn't need to work, and the only reason she even worked part time was because she was bored.
Government has set her up so well that she doesn't have any need or desire to have a man around to help raise her kids, and she has so much leisure time on her hands that she can't stand it.
There is nothing noble or even necessary about building a system like this. It's not by and large saving starving kids or helpless single moms like we're all led to believe. It just lets lazy, irresponsible people continue to be lazy and irresponsible.
If we agree we want to interfere with how kids are raised, and I'm not sure we should, then it should be to encourage the nuclear family and strong community bound by family and cultural affinity. I.e. the same model that has worked fine the world over for millennia
We should be discouraging the welfare queen model, not encouraging odd parenting models.
The interference isn't explicit; nobody except psycho Marxists want to directly take children as wards of the state. The problem is incentivization: you get more of what you pay for (or tax less), and vice-versa.
