SC making gay marriage the law of the land was a big mistake. Big moral issues like the definition of marriage should be made by the people, not five lawyers in black robes.
Remember, they were happy to overturn your vote to keep marriage between a man and a woman. But Scotus refuses to protect your vote when it was for Trump...
Come to think of it... they didn't protect your vote for traditional marriage either.
It's like they like finding elements in the Constitution that aren't there: "Dignity," in the case of Obergefell, which at its core was really about money (the desire of an ailing lesbian for her partner to be able to inherit her veteran's benefits).
Doesn't matter, the time for people to stand up and say something about judges overstepping their powers was Roe v Wade. For that court case, I don't give a fuck if someone is pro-abortion or pro-life, the decision those judges made was an absolute farce.
They even created a new term allowed to be used in law with 0 actual definition (their use of the word "health" had absolutely no specifics).
They neither set properly defined precedent for other courts to follow, nor did they apply the currently existing law at the time. They astonishingly failed at BOTH reasons the Supreme Court even exists.
