Aye. Heterosexuality is the Fountain, the lone ecological pillar of civilization. It is the eternal spring from which all societal niches are possible. Defend it, preserve its premier position in the natural order, you enable prosperity, plurality, and freedom, to the extent that freedom can diverge from the norm yet also contribute to the norm from the periphery. Hierarchy can benefit from buttresses which diverge from the center. But choke the spring, implode the well, and eventually all will die. The still water will fester, and the culture will degenerate and then quickly smother itself. That is until a wiser culture moves in to revitalize the desert.
