Another problem is that someone else pays, insurance. There is very little incentive for insured individuals to shop around. One minor hospital visit and you hit the out of pocket maximum for the year. Give me all the scans and tests if I am not paying a dime more for the year.
It is great to see a businessman getting to the roots of the problem. Healthcare is a business and someone with business sense needs to be involved in sorting it out.
