Live and let live. It’s closer to a libertarian viewpoint - and the older I get the more libertarian I become. Government should be limited. Period. Power to the people! (Which, I suppose, is populist lol)

To be left alone you've got to be ever aggressively in the business of politicians, apparently. Fight them over there.

ViduusMAGA 4 points ago +5 / -1

I’ve been a libertarian for years. Still waiting for the party to get organized though!

3
mordhaus 3 points ago +3 / -0

The party is a mess of retarded globalist shilling.

3
GoingCamaro 3 points ago +3 / -0

While the ideas seem good, the party is fucking stupid. They turn on each other faster and worse than the leftists. If you don't believe what the group believes that particular day, you're a traitor. They let their "middle ground" philosophy elevate them to holier than thou status and because of it they are against exchanging ideas.

Thus, they will never be organized. MAGA became popular because it is actually everything Lolbertains claim to be. MAGA isn't right wing or left wing. It's American wing.

I’m on board.

The Libertarian Party Mises Caucus is pretty good. Ron Paul calls them the libertarian wing of the libertarian party.

Lolberterians are fine with tyranny as long as it's incorporated. Don't be like lolberterians.

And anyone who read the DNC WikiLeaks saw it in their own words..."I think we have all been content with a compliant and unaware citizenry, although the compliance is starting to wane."

I imagine they don't hate libertarians all that much. Libertarians are the perfect "enemy" for them to have. Progressives continue to push the culture to the Left, and the best Libertarianism can do to combat it is either slow down further pushes to the left at best, or accelerate further left at worst. They're too scared of being called icky statists to actually negate the cultural leaning or too hung up on the ideas of negative liberty, which doesn't work that well in multiracial societies. It's like trying to negate a strong acid with water as opposed to an equally strong base.

Look at the differing mindsets between things such as "Silence is violence" and "Don't tread on me". One is a passive idea, the other is destroying the basis the country was created on.

As a Libertarian since the 80's and a Ron Paul supporter, that has been my life and political philosophy.

Count_Dyscalculia 2 points ago +4 / -2

Uhg. Libertarianism is Stupid.

  • Leave me Alone

(There's a fuckton of people who won't and it's part of their nature to take what's yours)

  • Don't Hurt People

(How the FUCK do you intend to get people to 'leave you alone' then you idiot!)

  • Don't Take People's Stuff

(Fine for you. How about making others follow this rule? How's that gonna work?)

  • Leave me Alone

(Same answer as before but let's add that they believe you're a: Racist, Bigot, Xenophobe, Homophobe and various other ist's and ism's that require their intervention to "Cure You". They're not going to take 'no' for an answer because You Are A Sinner and they have appointed themselves "the angry gods".)

GoingCamaro 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hurting people in self defense is NOT the same as intent to cause harm.

im old enough to remember small govt was a foundational tenet of america. it wasnt even in dispute!

Then you must be at least 250, because the anti-federalists lost.

kek

2
Kaarous 2 points ago +2 / -0

Likewise. I recognize however, that live and let live only works when everyone involved agrees to abide by it.

Leftists do not abide by it, and they have no intention to. They threw away live and let live decades ago. They are tyrants who insist on forcing themselves on everyone else.

The problem is that as soon as they know you want to be left alone, a certain breed of criminal mind will make it their life's work to screw with your peace and solitude.

You think the criminals that throw their trash onto your property as they drive by are lazy? No they want to fuck with you. See you squirm, screw with your life.

You specifically, especially if you have something they covet, like a nice house/pretty wife/smart kids in school.

H. Lecter : "What do we covet Clarice? We covet what we see!"

The worst thing in the world is vandal neighbors and local police that find it funny and are rooting for the criminals.

Leftists use the term "far-right" as a tag for anything that doesn't conform to their standards, whether it be actual right-wing stances or simply wanting independence and not being forced to conform. They're just authoritarians trying to label anyone as bad if they don't expressly comply without question.

The left: You either agree with us or you're against us!

1
Formerlurker92 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd love to be a libertarian, but in a world where there are many flavors of authoritarianism, that's just an unachievable dream. People will not leave you alone unless you make them, mostly by exercising power

1
Rucktoe 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you look at the history of democrats, they have always needed someone to actively hate.

They can not leave people alone.

1
Highball 1 point ago +1 / -0

It always has been. The left just owed the narrative.

Their morality is, as recently explained to me by Curtis Bowers, “whatever I need to do to get what I want is moral,” therefore they see our desires to control ourselves as immoral. Since it stops them from getting what they want which I see as all our Mainly our stuff without consequences or pushback.

1
Saltyminer11 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its like calling someone a Karen if they don't want to wear a mask. Look, its you who want to force something on me! Leave me alone! Thats all I want. Its easy. Its like you just need to literally do nothing.

I am not American but I am starting to identify more and more as a libertarian. So I want things like: government to be smaller and more efficient, more economic freedom for everyone, government regulation to be massively simplified/stripped back, less government intervention in the free market. From what I know, libertarians want the government to have as little influence on how the average Joe lives their lives as possible.

To be fair I object as a white person any time someone calls me imperialist.

So to just throw the problems of culture on an individual like that doesn’t play well.

It’s not his fault an entire government system was created to destroy black family culture.

That all happened 60 years ago now.

3
Mikon 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agreed. One prominent African American figure will not fix the mindset of an entire culture. Black people have to look inward and see what individual choices are leading to this decline. Help is needed but we must also help ourselves first.

2
Ballind 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not just internally. They were attacked by our greatest ally first as they are a softer target. A few decades ago black marital and dual parent household rates were similar to whites today. They fell apart because the people who control banking, govt, the medical industrial complex, Hollywood/media, porn, etc, have attacked them first to use them as a weapon against us.

Black culture is a symptom, not the disease.

America was built, practically and philosophically, on individual liberty, freedom from religous persecution. None of the founding fathers wrote blue laws into the constitution and bill of rights. The puritans fled persecution for not bending the knee politically to the Church of England.

The fact that social values always suffer entropy in a civilization doesn't mean conservatism (the conservation of liberty or resources, of power for the people) is to blame.

5
jamesfinmadison2 5 points ago +5 / -0

Who invented slavery again? Check your facts. It existed long before Christian's in America.

3
VonArman 3 points ago +3 / -0

Just wait until he finds out who owned all the slave ships.

1
jamesfinmadison2 1 point ago +1 / -0

I guess by invited, he means conservatives somehow controlled everything, and if only openly gay transgender Quakers ruled, slavery HERE never would have happened here like it did everywhere else throughout history.

Is there anything more insufferable then the young MAGA pede entitlement attitude that freedom and freedom from immorality consequences should be dual benefits Christmas wrapped and handed to them by older generations?

It's just sad whining for more porridge. Seeing a lot of this in younger pedes. Be thankful you are not fighting a Depression or World War while also fighting communism! Fuck me.
