In my mind there are only two reasons you would not object: 1) you're in bed with the enemy and you're a traitorous C or 2) you and your family are being heavily threatened and you are actually scared for your life. Otherwise it is your duty to your constituents to uphold the law and constitution and unanimously object. I can think of no other reason why you would betray your fellow countryman and your country.
