I saw this guys tweet, it's fucking insane and wrong. Encrypted chatrooms are so, the NSA can't do anything.

It's why they made Dual_EC_DRBG, which was an encryption algorithm they passed off as the product of a shell company and put in a backdoor. It was one of four approved Cytologically Secure (P)RNG algorithms, meaning it was used for passwords and similar stuff. It wasn't found out until 2014 that they had a backdoor for it via the Snowden leaks...
