From his bio on his site: He spent a total of 21 years in the U.S. Army between the active and reserve components. Mark enlisted in the Army at the age of 17, and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before attending the grueling Officer Candidate School (OCS) program. Mark served as the Class President for his OCS class and was a Distinguished Military Graduate of the course. In 2004 Mark deployed to Iraq for a year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and retired in 2006 with the rank of Captain. The highlight of Mark’s military career was serving as the Unit Commander for a battery of self-propelled 155MM Howitzers.

Guys every organization has their share of turds. This dude apparently had one deployment. There are cooks with more combat experience than him. No disrespect to the MOS92G
