My parents left Communist Vietnam over 40 years ago. I woke up about politics 3 months ago.
If you told me 3 months ago (when I first started paying attention to politics) that I'd be willing to drive across the country from California and be willing to stand strong with millions of patriots and die for a billionaire fun New York, I'd tell you that you're insane and I'd laugh you out of the room.
When I talked to my dad about potentially doing this trip three days ago, that's when I made up my mind to head out on the first of January. My parents live in Texas, so I stopped by to visit them first. They both support me on this journey and they shared this:
"40 years ago, we left Vietnam on a boat to FIND freedom. We had no idea where we would end up, but we just had to go. It was 4 days until we reached some land.
Now, we're so proud that you're driving across in 4 days (quick stop by their home included) to PROTECT freedom."
I look forward to being there with everyone. Thank you for EVERYONE who has continued to hold and advance the line. We finish them off on the 6th!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
