UPB (universal preferable behavior) is a scientific way of working weather something is moral or not withoit religion or the states input. It's taken me a while to learn it and the idea is robust.
Except preferable behavior is not universal. Case in point: Evangelists with a tribe of cannibals noticed that they saw Judas as the hero of the Gospel.
That's an extreme example, but lots of things aren't nearly so agreed upon as we think. Homogeneous culture is preferable to the weakness of diversity.
