It occurred to me recently that Washington's greatest strength was managing to keep the soldiers together, keep congress from replacing him and then using words to stop a planned rebellion by the troops who were pissed congress still hadn't paid them. No matter how bad things got people didn't stop believing in Washington and its strikingly similar to no matter how bad things have gotten during Trumps presidency people still "trust the plan" and id bet millions are willing to die following Trump.
Trump and Washington both have 1 thing no amount of bribery, manipulation, treasonous behavior will ever get those who went against them... loyalty based on the unshakable certainty that they are fighting for righteousness and the truth.
Well said. And very very true. He’s given us not the will to fight exactly—the permission to fight? Confirmed that everything we felt and saw was true around us, and that we weren’t wrong—it was actually worse than we imagined.
I think we will look back on this time and realize how lucky it was to gave the election stolen. I’m convinced trump did those lists 17 rallies in the last 5 days to get the whole country to swamp the polling stations and vote. I’m sure he wished that he won in huge numbers that night. But in many ways it’s better that it has come to this. We must cut this cancer out and keep working to flood government at every level.
