It’s hard to notice in a single lifespan, when your frame of reference is an immediate history of about 200-500 years. Even so, America’s success flies in the face of historical norms primarily because her founding principles reject tribalism, which has been the cause for disaster since the beginning of humanity.

I was watching a (non-political) documentary last night that showed footage of "Progressives" protesting prior to World War II that the U.S. should "be friends" with Hitler. 90+ years on and things haven't changed.
