January 6 is everything. Hopefully Pence is prepared to only accept the republican electors, which solves the problem. If not, the president has the executive order, but the republicans need to commit to this unconditionally.

The stupid GOP have been painting themselves into this corner for years. They do something on the promise of the democrats doing something else later, expecting Lucy not to pull away the football.

The reason this seems a big deal to me is that Cruz has taken Tuberville out with this move. It's pretty smart because most people see the list of names and think it means something.

Maybe it does. I don't trust them. Cruz knows he gets his face on currency if he fights for Trump. So why bother with asking for an audit? It's meaningless and takes every card out of the republicans' hands, leaving 1/6 to either Pence or Trump.

My humble opinion, they all need to be told, by us, in no uncertain terms, to object to Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona at the minimum.

Fraud vitiates everything. Ted Cruz damn well knows that. Please help remind him.

We need to REMOVE every single government employee who disregarded and trashed our constitutional process

They need to understand it’s not only their political lives that are at stake.

Agree 100%

I agree too. Just because Cruz is (finally) doing something, doesn't mean get complacent. We calm down only when Trump's rightful victory is secured and don't get distracted by anything else.

An audit that reveals Trump won is literally the only way ro do this peacefully.

What exactly do you doomers think happens if Pence just refuses to Count GA? for Trump to govern he must provably demonstrate he won. That happens through a forensic audit.

People harp on fake news as good news and reject good news as bad news. You can't please them.

VivaElEmperadorDios [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

As long as it's constitutional, they can fucking eat shit. If they don't want to be peaceful, that's on them.

Of course they're lying.

They're ALL swamp. (Maybe not Rand Paul. Maybe.)

I want Pence to not accept any electors in those states until those states prove that their election was constitutional.

TheBestIsYetToCum 2 points ago +3 / -1

Pressuring the state legislators is the play. They can make the final call but its pretty obvious they have been threatened and/or compromised by now as well. There is just far too much BLATANT FRAUD for any person to ignore.

Keep the pressure on... but remind those motherfuckers the American people are outside waiting. They better do the right thing.

I don't think pence can accept the electors of the GOP if they're not certified.

The findings of a "bipartisan committee" give people top cover to switch sides. And people are going to have to switch sides for us to win this thing

1
VivaElEmperadorDios [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hate to break it to you, but the democrats don't switch sides. The only ones that play both sides is the republicants.

"Accordingly, we intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states...

What’s this INTEND to bullshit, Cruz, you Canuck pussy? I fear you’re right, OP

Pence has one ceremonial role, to open the envelopes.

THAT IS IT.

He cannot judge on anything, he cannot certify/decertify anything, he is literally there to open envelopes and read the name of the winner that is it.

It is like giving someone keys to the city, that doesn't mean they can actually go into any house/business in the city whenever they want, it is just ceremonial, it has zero purpose.

The goal has to be to get a handful of democrats to agree to throw out enough electors ballots to get Biden under 270, that is the only way to get Trump back on the POTUS, that I can see.

Dallasguy 2 points ago +3 / -1

You may be right, but there were two sets of electors sent by seven states. Pence cannot accept both. One could argue for him to accept either outcome from a fairly logical place. But Thomas Jefferson made himself president by accepting electors from Georgia that were in dispute.

Again, you may be right, but I dont think you are. From what I have seen, Mike Pence weilds more power right now than any human who will live this century.

Nixon counted Hawaii's 3 electors for Kennedy in 1960 even though the election was initially certified for the Nixon. I believe there are a few other examples of the VPs role being more than just ceremonial.

1
JohnSpartanSAPD 1 point ago +1 / -0

Those other electors were not certified by the respective states and will not likely even be presented to Pence. I don't think this is even a choice he has

0
Wreckastow 0 points ago +1 / -1

There is no legal basis whatsoever for Pence to accept NON-certified votes.

I do not see one drop of power that Pence actually holds, certainly none that I can find explicitly granted by law or the constitution.

He can do what ever he wants kiddo

Wreckastow 0 points ago +1 / -1

Except that he can't, he isn't king or emperor, he is bound by rules and laws.

This is why the dems do so well, everyone here is living in a fantasy world.

1
Junionthepipeline 1 point ago +1 / -0

What laws? .once they stopped being enforced they stopped existing.you should really stop voting democrat.
