I was like "you keep saying men run the country and talking about CEOs, do you realize I'm an engineer from a top 1% school in the world and still couldn't get up there yet you compare your nursing degree that you're about to drop out of to me and tell about women are equal to men? It's easier to describe in one word. Hypergamy. Women have a biological drive to always move "up", as "up" means resources, status, and (hopefully) better mates to produce stronger children.
The way we're trending to now is the way things used to be before we had a society, where the majority of men had no partners and thus had no interest in helping to provide for society and the horrible way we're treated. Societies that curb hypergamy by not allowing women to act on their nature and form harems around the most "attractive" and "powerful" men (and to realize what that means think back to cavemen times and you'll see why women rush to the slugs of society) thrived, and those that did not limit it, like ours is no longer doing, die or never get started in the first place.
