Sorry if this isn’t making much sense, but every time I go on religious Twitter I basically feel like I’m going to Hell unless I turn into a complete fanatic like they are. How do you guys mix strong religious beliefs with being a normal person? These people are going too far one way, but atheist leftists too far another.

It's complicated.
Christianity is actually about filial piety toward God, which is centered around God's holiness.
Within the last several hundred years in America, it has become a party to identify with, which is why there is so much virtue signaling and "technically you can/can't" cult-vibe.
So on the one hand, yes, it is sinful to have the heart of lust toward women you are not married to, but on the other hand, that's between you and God. As a brother in Christ, I can tell you what the bible says, but ultimately, it is a personal thing you need to work out between you and God.
Edit: it doesn't mean you can't talk about who is cute or not tho. That's perfectly fine, given it doesn't move into lusting after. Remember, it's a heart issue.

Cuz as humans we're all expected to be sinners. And the first without sin is able to cast stones of judgement--hence no one but Jesus. Everyone has their vices,but as believers, we're supposed to avoid such temptations. And Jesus didn't care what people's vices were--He loved them and wanted to save them.

Lol, so do I brother. But what I mean is, on Twitter I see these extreme Christians who tell me everything is a sin and everything is terrible, and that I should be basically abstaining from absolutely everything
You are condemed to hell for your sin, but you don't have to stop sinning to go to Heaven because eternal life is a free gift paid for by Jesus Christ!
Most people who think they are Christians are going to hell because they are trying to work their way to heaven.

When you put your trust in Jesus you can calm down and become normal. When you trust him for your daily needs and try to be a servant like him, hell has no power over you. If you are unclear, pray and ask him to show you.

There is a huge difference between faith and religion. Religion is about judgment and control. Religion is often substituted for faith, but the two couldn't be more different. Faith is believing there is a God and following His commandments. People don't need religion--they have the Bible.

That's legalism mostly. A lot of Christians try to control people by shaming them.

God is grace. He comes to save. Ask Him to give you his heart and you soon find yourself wondering why you ever loved sin in the first place.
All it takes is verbal, heartfelt surrender to God. Doesn't matter if your a prostitute, drug addict or crook. Give your sin to God, beg him to deal with it for you, and find yourself suddenly free from the desire or need to continue partaking of it.
No one can become sinless by they own effort. It's an endeavor doomed to failure. The devil loves telling new Christians that they won't ever be good enough because of their sin. It's his favorite weapon. Don't believe it.
God is here to save, not condemn. You can trust Him to handle the hard stuff. You just have to say, "take over God".
I'm more a deist, taoist, buddhist, universal spirit type. Many of the myths of the of the three Abrahamic Religions don't sit well with me as a geologist and life long student of anicient history.
