Hoard cash? Lmao if you think cash will be worth anything in that kind of scenario, you're in no position to be giving advice

556x45mm 20 points ago +20 / -0

Ammo becomes cash in this scenario... maybe gold and silver too, also a few 55 gal drums of gasoline will help too

16
otistoole 16 points ago +17 / -1

And booze. Lots of booze

15
DoIMAGAYouHornyBaby 15 points ago +15 / -0

And canning jar lids, as time goes on.

FamburgerHelper 5 points ago +5 / -0

Haha just coincidentally I ordered some more kids & rings today.

Edit: lids, not kids

6
BillionsAndBillions 6 points ago +6 / -0

Clearly a typo... unless you're a Biden or a Podesta

3
mrh218 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, kids are valuable too!

Diesel will store but gas will go bad quick

TeaMug71 12 points ago +12 / -0

Bullets, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, food, water, water filters, fuel, lighters, propane. First aid, toiletries, personal hygiene. I’m sure I forgot some stuff.

Well, at least the first few days cash will be king for everything, at least for the majority of the population They will believe it will be right back on. Give it 72 hours and those in denail will soon recognize their delima.

Want to read a great book abou lt an EMP - Checkout William Forstchen's book "One Second After". The forward is written by the Great Newt Gingrich.

It's a fucking text book and should be read by all us Pedes.

Cold, hard cash will only lose value if it's so abundant that there is too much of it.

We need SOMETHING to trade our labor and goods for, something that we trust will maintain value and is easy to carry around, something that doesn't otherwise have a use.

I think Americans will fall back to cold, hard cash when the crisis hits. I keep a significant chunk scurried away in case the networks fail and credit cards become worthless.

4
MoldyLocksNesMonste 4 points ago +4 / -0

Occasionally credit card readers go down when you're in line. The store then can only take cash. That's happened to me at least a few times and having cash in the wallet makes life real convenient.

2
yudsfpbc 2 points ago +2 / -0

I always carry at least $20 if not $100 for this reason.

I also carry small bills. It's rough handing a $20 to a cashier for a $2 item. Oftentimes they run out of small bills so they appreciate the $1s and $5s.

If you see me with a fat stack, it's mostly $1s. Rob me, you'll get like $50. I don't like large bills.

EDIT: I should mention this happened today, actually. The card reader wasn't working, so we just forked over cash. It was our pleasure. Won't even have to go to the bank to refill our wallets.

Think I'm gonna go buy a generator and a bunch of gas. Don't open or use it unless needed, otherwise return it in 89 days

2
BillionsAndBillions 2 points ago +2 / -0

Get a dual-fuel gas / propane generator. Gas goes bad in a year or two even if it's stored well, but propane stores indefinitely.

Ethanol-free gas lasts longer than the ethanol crap, but it will still go bad after a while. Diesel can get water in it from condensation. You can get special water separator pumps for that issue, but I'm not sure how long it can be stored.

VA-Pede 1 point ago +2 / -1

gas goes bad in a year or two

I know a guy who let his Jeep sit for about five years with a full tank. He put new tires and a new battery in it and drove it like it was nothing.

This was 10 years ago and he's still driving it.

1
BillionsAndBillions 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wouldn't count on it lasting that long. Propane is a sure bet

2
VA-Pede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just saying, I've seen five year old gas run just fine.

2
BillionsAndBillions 2 points ago +2 / -0

If take 5 year old gas over no gas

Have you seen all the satellites zipping around lately? It’s crazy. I went outside last night just after dusk to walk the dog, it was a clear night, no moon. I looked up and noticed what looked like a moving star, then another and another. Probably saw ten within ten minutes. I always look up to the stars and haven’t EVER noticed that many. They are spy satellites, or high altitude planes. No flashing lights. If you were to hold a ruler up at arms length these things would move about an inch every three seconds or so. Over the years I have seen these things but nothing like the numbers I saw last night. Anyway, they could track us with those fuckers.

Yup, you can watch them go over at scheduled times if that sort of thing interests you: https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/

3
TeaMug71 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well, that’s what my brother said, he didn’t mention tesla but that they were communication satellites. I thought communication satellites were geostationary? Do you know their altitude?

The StarLink satellites are communications but not geostationary, and are in low Earth orbit. They do that to reduce latency (round-trip time to/from the satellites)

3
BillionsAndBillions 3 points ago +3 / -0

Might have been a StarLink train. They look like that until they spread out:

The satellite trains are real. The lasers may have been faked in that video, I'm not sure. Lasers are how the satellites will communicate between each other, though. Here is another video. There are hundreds of videos of the trains:

Won't the normies wake up if they do this?

5
TeaMug71 5 points ago +5 / -0

Doubtful. They’ll be wishing they had some weapons though.

Voiceofreason72 12 points ago +12 / -0

If they take down the grid, it would be very dangerous for them.

7
BillionsAndBillions 7 points ago +7 / -0

They plan to take down parts of the grid, communications, and other infrastructure as part of a scripted phony cyber war ostensibly between the U.S. and a foreign power. This will actually just be global elites against the people, and used to justify even more tyranny.

Some people think that power, water, and gas magically flow from fairyland through the pipes and wires in their house.

The rest of the country lives in rural area, where you pay for everything yourself, and you know exactly where your water and power come from. Often times, you put the pipes and wires in yourself.

whats the grid

Electricity

3
yudsfpbc 3 points ago +4 / -1

I'd count the internet and phone networks as part of the grid, but if power is gone those are gone too.

I believe our side wants the grid down not the deep state. With the grid down cities will descend into lawlessness while gun owning patriots protect their communities

500 gallons of Diesel coming Jan 5th. You guys don't pop off early.

That's cute, city boy.

Hoard cash in case of total societal collapse

I am never taking advice from you ever.

I have lead. I dont need cash you idiot.

12
WeRemainFree [S] 12 points ago +13 / -1

Calling me an idiot is not productive. Okay fine. Sad that we are all supposed to be on the same side.

Fuck you.

Ditto that

yudsfpbc 3 points ago +3 / -0

People who are quite productive have a lot of lead too. And they have friends, family and neighbors they love and trust.

If you think you can make a living off of them as a bandit and a highway robber, think again.

There was an old internet post where someone said they'd just raid the local mormon's food storage. Then some mormons responded with the facts that (a) mormons have a lot of guns, and (b) we stick up for each other and if you murder one of us all hell will break loose.

And the fact that the mormons are storing that food and such just in case there is such an emergency, and will happily share it all with you if you agree to abide by the basic rules of society and put in your labor.
