Park at Arlington National Cemetary walk across the bridge crossing the Potomac River and by the Lincoln Memorial, pass through the World War 2 Memorial, and on towards the Washington Monument, the United States Capitol should be in your sight line the whole time! Say hello to Ulysses S. Grant before you get there.
Edit: park where you won’t get towed. Look for signs. If you’ve never been to D.C. I recommend visiting all of it after Trump is re-elected, but we all know he already won! Cheers!
P.S. Vietnam Memorial is a must visit. Read every name the average age was 19! Think about it.
