They have bought into the “new normal” garbage. They think they can go about their lives like normal, albeit with some kind of mask, and government will fix everything.
They have let fear take control and have abandoned all reason.
My nephew is 27, he hasn't gone out in over 9 months, no girls, no parties, no friends. He tells me I have to adjust to the new normal, I said that's rich coming from a guy that will need to bring forth his first son through correspondence. He said He prefers this to death and I told him that he was wrong.

Can confirm, my 30 year old niece and her husband are the same. They work from home, get groceries delivered, visit friends and family by zoom and never ever leave the house. They are getting way to used to it and claim to never want to go back to the office. Fn living like elder shut ins in their prime. Fn weirdos.
And if he is shopping in a dollar store, that peanut brittle was probably made in China.
