But it was MEDIA that hyped it and allowed politicians to do what they did. Every day, local media and MSM would do nothing but covid stories and kept the fear alive. Shut off the media's impact and people get the sense that it's gone away. It happened in the days following the election, but was ramped back up when they believed it would serve a political purpose again.
