He announced testing positive for covid dec 7. So I think it's fair to say he was well over the virus by probably the third week in Dec. You also probably wouldn’t go for a run with an active respiratory infection.
Not that this will stop the CDC from adding him to the covid death totals.
The problem is the coagulopathies that COVID can induce. Fairly young people coming into the ER with MIs. That said, perhaps he just had an AV malformation or something.
