Assange needs to answer serious charges, no pardon unless he adjudicates his alleged crimes. There was a time when he might have made a very good deal, but it's too late in the game now.
He fights extradition for his own reasons, but from here it looks like the only possible reason is he knows he is guilty of the charges and more. His only hope to ever live unmolested outside that prison is to make a deal with Trump, yet he refuses.
If POTUS pardons him and he walks out he will be arkancided. Assange knows that, yet he also must know that if Trump has this election stolen from him he will be murdered in that prison, too. He should have let Trump bring him here long ago.
But I think that's why hillary killed Whitey Bulger in that Federal prison, to show she could do that, so Assange may be afraid to move at all.
