Just looking around and plenty of rooms--would have thought it would be sold out. Talked to front desk guy about whether he thought there would be a million people there, he didn't seem to think so... oh well, I am going to take one of those rooms!!
My sense is a lot of pedes are staying outside of DC and using the Metro to get in. I've seen a lot of posts (one on the Conservative Treehouse) about why that's safer than staying in DC. Also, I think a lot of pedes are driving in day of.
To be honest, I certainly was hoping that all hotels get booked out, but I wouldn't use that as a gauge for now.
