We need someone to look up how many deaths were from overdoses and suicides, and also how many traffic accidents resulting in death there usually are to get the full picture.
Suicides and ODs are only a small part of the government lockdown induced death toll. The overall stress from unemployment and isolation is very taxing on the body and immune system. Healthy people become sick, and unhealthy people succumb to their ailments. The death certificates don’t hold this information.
I thought the same, but that count is from starting in February. That said I don't trust their numbers and there will no doubt be a ton of excess deaths from overdoses, suicides and alcoholism among others.
2016: 2.7M, 2017: 2.8M, 2018: 2.8M, 2019: 2.9M, 2020 2.77M as of 12/16.20
That increase is nothing special.
And you know what would really keep this ball in the air? A so called 'test' that would fire on whatever sars-cov-2 is, if anything, as well as the seasonal flu varieties. Get that bugger into circulation and one could really ramp 'er up.
Oh look that is EXACTLY what they are using to test for covid:
The Influenza SARS-CoV-2 (Flu SC2) Multiplex Assay is a real-time RT-PCR multiplexed test intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus, and/or influenza B virus
nucleic acid in upper or lower respiratory specimens (such as nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal and nasal swabs, sputum, lower respiratory tract aspirates, bronchoalveolar lavage, and nasopharyngeal wash/aspirate or nasal
aspirate) collected from individuals suspected of respiratory viral infection consistent with COVID-19 by a healthcare provider. Symptoms of respiratory viral infection due to SARS-CoV-2 and influenza can be similar.

Also people not going to the hospital in emergencies. Stroke victims, etc.

The year prior death rates were raised by around 16k, the year before that death rates raised 25k.
