With a red dot and optics and still clean?? Damn, you gotta put some through that. I wouldn't worry about taking it to the range that's what it's for. I don't think you'll get any hassle aside from people wanting to try it. I love in Chicagostan, and have taken my ar-15 and 5 other guns to ranges and there's always someone there with something bigger and badder
