Related (not an argument the original post): There are tons of good alternatives for e-mail services, web browsers, and entertainment, but we still need a strong alternative for the Android-iOS duopoly. I can't quite decide which of the two is worse...
We need more pedes developing American-made technology and getting it into the market. Working on doing this myself (computer programmer), but it's tricky as you can imagine. Ordinary software is one thing, but new operating systems and getting manufacturers hooked in is a different animal entirely. I'm really hoping one of the things that comes out of 2020 fuckery is a massive wave of Made In America energy. I really do.
