Like a fresh pair of tactical steel toe boots from WalMart with a layer of arc support gel insoles, a layer of thermal insulation insoles, and a pair of Yak Trax just in case.

When I went to the Inauguration, we walked, walked..walked... and used the Metro. Be aware the busese that run around the Mall don't run this time of year either. Soo..walk..lol.

You need to end up at the United States Capitol Building, which is where the House and Senate congress. They are the ones we need to put pressure on.

I took the Orange line from Vienna VA to DC for the Glenn Beck rally a few years back...it went very smooth. I was with a few locals so they knew the ropes, but it seemed safe and reliable. I was surrounded by lots of like minded people. On the 6th I'm not sure what to expect; either a powerful victorious rally or an apocalyptic blood bath. But, yes, the metro seems safe, but it probably depends on the area of DC you're in...it's not all warm and fuzzy in that place.

Man I had a real good lookin Ethiopian looking girl in highschool who stayed over on Van Dorn. Potomac Yards is nice, other than an entire street across from Potomac Yard where all the kids for the entire street it seemed were ALL Honduran or ElSalvadorian and were wanna be MS13 members or had ms13 influence it seemed LOL.
