Increase in "COVID" cases due to decreased immune systems?

I know this is a bit off-topic but I'm sure most won't mind.

How much thought or reporting has gone into the idea that a portion of the increase in "COVID" cases over past month or so is explicitly because of all the precautions we've been taking have actually lowered immune systems?

I actually just came up with this thought sitting here but isn't it so bizarre how people have seemingly thrown away 100% of their rational thinking?

My boss is a genius level guy. Stoic. Has made a fortune. But he has TDS and strongly believes this virus is an apocalyptic crisis. (I hope I'm not being too hyperbolic in my view of him. I have a lot of respect for him.)
