I felt like screaming to everyone that I knew that; our country is unconstitutionally recording anything and EVERYTHING people say online, every text message, every email, every forum post, every selfie... but I knew I'd not only be breaking the law, but that no body would believe me anyway, not just terrorists, but EVERYONE. So instead I've never said it, and gradually we went from "we don't collect metadata" (lawyer speak weasel-words, because the truth was much worse) to a collective yawn when Snowden leaked what he did.
