My TDS brother just put up a yard sign covered in strawman arguments like "science is real" and "nobody is illegal" and sent me a picture in an obvious effort to start an empty circular argument. In his mind that is the absolute height of political conflict right now. He is basically the poster boy of brainwashed U.S. citizen, the sort who gets all his "news" from washington post and leftist comedians like colbert, so I use him to gauge what the typical leftist citizen is thinking. If this gauge is still accurate then we're going to have some people experiencing severe cognitive dissonance faltering in public over the next few weeks.
