(The world "Idiocracy" is set in very much illustrates the end-game of a shallow-minded group-think consumer-culture Socialist Utopia, and Fox didn't want to give their viewers too much of a preview of their plans.) As Mr. Judge says, he is already seeing aspects of "Idiocracy" in real-life that did not take 500 years of de-evolution to "achieve."
