This makes no sense. Unless something actually confidential was discussed on the call, the recording is not illegal. Both DC and Georgia are one party consent states. Either party is allowed to record (and do what is legally permissible with it).

I mean we’ll see where this goes but Posobiec says a lot of BS. I highly doubt that this will turn into anything.

POTUS & Raffensperger were in talks with attorneys present to discuss a settlement. "The telephone conference call @GaSecofState secretly recorded was a “confidential settlement discussion” of that litigation, which is still pending." Therefore---it was a confidential discussion and could not be leaked. Hope that helps.

This has yet to be proven one way or the other. The guy saying this wasn’t on the call. And the presidents legal counsel (internal or external) hasn’t said that to be the case either.

If it was the case - don’t you think they would have said so already? To put the media in a tough spot for keeping the call up?

Discussions with the President of the United States are privileged. You can’t just record them and release them cuz you feel like it.

Conversations are privileged WITHIN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH.

This was not an exclusively executive branch related discussion. It had outside counsel. It had other state elected officials, who have their own privileges and rights.

Just because a privilege exists doesn’t mean it’s universal.
