Download a map of the area.
Also bring a portable solar charger for your phones. Places might prevent you from using their electricity to charge up.
Radio's will also be important for at least staying in contact with your group if the network goes down. I would definitely encourage everyone to upload footage but to be cautious and not carelessly use bandwidth, I do feel it may go down just from the overload, like how cell towers near football stadiums go down at times.
Keep recording if the network goes down, it can always be uploaded later. Just be aware of the quality of the video, as if you are recording at 4k @ 60fps you will use 400mb every minute. Better to switch to 1080p @ 30fps to use less memory and switch to 4k when important.
