I agree. The trump tape release here is in anticipation of Trump retaining the Presidency to make it seem like "Trump threatened to find them votes" so he cheated and stole it from Biden.

It's a weak move honestly by them but their only option to try.

I believe that they just broke the law by leaking the call. It should be protected as part of a confidential legal process. Especially involving POTUS.

And they could control house and senate this time around.

This would make sense if there was anything incriminating in the call. If anything, it makes Trump look good since he specifically talks about wanting to prevent fraud and find out the truth. I’d more so buy into the angle that this is white noise meant to distract people or desperate floundering rather than them trying to use this as some sort of silver bullet.

The only thing this means is that Georgia is going to be the first state to flip. Trump had conversations like this with people in all of the contested states. They will just be releasing them one by one every time a state flips, like it is the same "scandal" all over again. I do agree though that this will be used to try and impeach him on day 1.

We got this, and it is why Jan 6th is so important. I think only about a dozen senators are refusing to certify, meaning if they do go the impeachment route and only those dozen are on our side, he will get removed by office. We need to remind those remaining republican senators that not only did we win and we know it, they better not vote for impeachment when it comes down to it.

Probably so, but we're not playing their stupid games anymore, are we? Over the next four years, we will completely dismantle our domestic enemies. If they're lucky, their great-grandchildren may be able to attempt to pick up the pieces and start rebuilding their empire of evil. I disagree with that opinion because

1. How much concentration does it take to release an audio file? If they did spin up a couple lawyers on it, well, that doesn't detract from Biden proceeding with his "transition."

2. How is that call impeachable? Trump stated that his team's investigations found a highly significant number of illegal votes. Georgia officials claimed they did not agree with certain findings - or went silent. Regarding finding votes, Trump said he is willing to limit his team's findings to a subset that could easily place the election result "in question" if his team is right, and he'd like to have Georgia officials to work with his team on that subset. Trump repeated he was just looking for the truth.

From my discussions with family who watch CNN, it's clear they think Trump is just making unfounded claims and trying to hold onto power - even laughing about the Twitter warning boxes. It's my opinion that the edit of the call was just to reinforce that view.

What I kind of like about it is it may backfire if it encourages some to listen to the full audio. They may wonder about the claims that are being censored.
