Curious if there will be an echolink enabled repeater net going on for the 6th. Any hams know of one offhand? Just would be interested in listening in, bummed out I can't go. Anyone able to suggest any good ones?

Edit: See comments, will update ones as I find them. Going to try to CQ in and ask the locals later in the day.

This doesn't answer your question but figured I'd post this here so anyone interested can check it out.

Good info for people going with ham radios. Even if you don't have a license and you just keep a cheap hamheld in the GTFO bag for emergencies. Real good time to bring it.

I farted around on repeaterbook. Found some. Posted a comment with the info. Wasn't able to CQ anyone yet, but it's 6am there. I'll try later in the day.

Well, here's 3 pretty close. All open and all showing online. First one says linked. So if there's a net going on, I'm sure it would be on a linked system. I'll see if I can CQ someone local on 'em and ask.

Edit: I've heard some traffic on the first link, but no one has responded yet. Mostly just people saying "monitoring". Will keep trying to get a local to give any info.

Note: You can't use echolink without a validated amateur radio license and callsign. Follow the instructions here to validate yours as it can take days.

If you're totally new to echolink, it's just a voice over internet application that lets you find echolink repeaters and you can use them as if you were there. Super cool little app. I use "echoham" on my mac, it's in the app store. The echolink app can run on computers, phones, tablets. Super easy to use, no radios needed. Very nice when travelling.

Oh sweet: For the non-hams or people who just want to listen, try this.
