They want him to not be a liability, so that plan certainly would work. I also believe he would be considered quite the asset to the Lion party and is likely being kept away for that reason alone.

The swamp has had decades at least to fill and fester, Trump and co. are operating (amazingly well) from the middle of a snake pit and seem to be able to control a few, specific executive branch things but the rest seems to still be under the sway of the canal that's slowly being uncovered.

I don't think we quite understand the potential enormity of the beast Trump is poking and the more I see revealed, the more I understand why these steps have been carried out in such a careful and calculated way and continue to be. With an enemy this depraved and widespread, who knows what lows they'd stoop to in desperation and fear once backed into a corner. The trick is to back them in without them knowing until it's too late, and I think that's what we're witnessing play out.
